These make a fiery and surprising Spanish Tapa, interestingly the Padron Pepper is a bit of a mixed bag because some are hot and some are not! Typical of Spanish tapas this dish is quick and easy to make and full of flavour.
I was given my first Vegetarian Cook Book for Christmas and this is my first recipe attempt from that book. This was delicious and good for all seasons!
I was treated to this when I visited my sister in law a while ago in Baltimore and she cooked this for us.
Inspired, I thought I would try my hand at this delicious dish. I carefully listened to her instructions and thought I would be fine with remembering! Mine however….. turned out substantially different to Gena’s… whoops!!
Different but delicious so I was still happy with the end result.
There are many different recipes for all different slow cooked meats but I think the main rule that we should stick to for all is LOW and SLOW!!!😉
Tiramisu is probably an all time favourite dish. I had first learnt how to make it from an Italian exchange student in high school. If you’ve ever met an Italian before, you know they are fiercely traditional about food, and the best food is from Italy. I do love the traditional aspects of this dish, because when you start adding unesessary ingredients it’s not as good (I think!).
This recipe came from me being given some fresh cherries and trying to think of what to make with them. It looks pretty intense, but it’s not as heavy as you might think. It’s a great little treat, and something a little different to cake. Give it a go, you’ll love it!
I think I’m seriously obsessed with Risoni at the moment. It is a rice shaped pasta, which can also be called Orzo. It seems to be a fairly new addition to the pasta aisle these days which is awesome. I’ve only starting cooking with it in the past 6 months. and I like it because it fills out a salad quite well without being too overbearing. Would be a perfect accompaniment to some grilled lamb. Yummo!
This dish is a really nice summery dish to add to the repetoire. It’s nice because you can custom make it to your tastes. We made a vegetarian style tart, but you could anything you like.
A few examples of ingredients are: leek, chicken, peas, pumpkin, mushroom, pancetta, goats cheese. The opportunities are endless!
